The Toyota Mirai is a hydrogen-powered car that emits no CO2, which helps reduce harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere. Similar to electric cars, the Toyota Mirai has to be refueled at a refueling station. However, unlike many electric cars, the refueling process only takes three minutes. Not to mention, this year’s model can travel over 300 miles without a single refuel. This puts the 2019 Toyota Mirai as a best-in-class hydrogen car.

The Toyota Mirai is currently only available in California, but as popularity and production increases, it may eventually branch out to other states.

Engine Details

While you may not think of hydrogen as the most potent substance, the results have been great for the 2019 Toyota Mirai. It achieves a horsepower of 151 hp and a torque of 247 lb-ft. This is equivalent to an average sedan, proving theĀ engine’s capability. Additionally, this astounding engine achieves 67 MPGe combined.

Safety and Special Features

Like all other new Toyota cars, the 2019 Toyota Mirai is exceptional when it comes to safety and tech features. When you drive home from the Toyota dealership in a Toyota Mirai, you drive home in a convenient and safe car. Such features include dynamic radar cruise control, which allows drivers to maintain speed and avoid veering into other lanes.

Special features include an infotainment system equipped with a plethora of apps and smartphone compatibilities. This allows drivers to take calls and navigate without having to look away from the road.

While the 2019 Toyota Mirai may not yet be available at our Toyota dealership in Avenel, NJ, we are proud to be a part of a company that’s always raising the bar. When it comes to fuel efficiency, Toyota continues to lead the way.
